You are encouraged to read through the counseling staff biographies before you call for an appointment.

The first time you call, you will likely speak with our office administrator, Kurian. He will ask you a few questions to help you connect to a therapist. Please have your insurance information handy when you call. Kurian is in the office M-F from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. most days. 630-752-9750
Other information you will be asked to provide include:
- what type of counseling you are seeking
- if you will be using insurance to help pay for your counseling sessions
- if you have any restrictions regarding phone messages or correspondence,
- if you have a specific counselor you would like to see or a preference about the gender of the counselor you see,
- and if you are a member of an affiliate church (check here).
If you already know which counselor you would like to see, the information taken over the telephone will be provided to that therapist, who will then call you personally to make an appointment. In most cases, you should hear from the therapist within 24 to 48 hours.
If you are not sure which therapist you would like to work with, the information you provide will be given to Dr. Patricia Francis, O.P., our Director of Counseling Services, who will assign a therapist to you.
PLEASE NOTE: In situations of divorce or separation involving minor children, every attempt is made to keep both parents informed of the progress and, where indicated, may include involving one or both parents in family sessions. Both parents will be asked to sign our Welcome to CDPCC form that includes a Release Authorization and an Informed Consent Agreement.
All information you provide will be handled with care & confidentiality.
Sorry, we do not prescribe medicine.

When you arrive for counseling, please ring the door bell that is located to the right of the French doors. This alerts your therapist that you have arrived for your appointment. Your therapist will come to greet you at your appointment time.
Your first meeting with the counselor will help you decide if the therapist is a good fit for you. The therapist will answer whatever questions you may have about the process of counseling. Your counselor will seek to identify the issues or concerns you would like to address in counseling and begin to formulate a treatment plan with you.
Centrally located between Glen Ellyn & Wheaton, just north of Geneva Road.
