A little about me. . .

People seek therapy for a variety of reasons such as changing life circumstances, the desire for hope, the need for acceptance, or healing from hurt.  I am honored to be invited into this sacred space as we form a nurturing and gently challenging therapeutic relationship.

Caring for the whole person is important to me and I welcome the integration of your faith into the therapy process (at your leading).  I believe healing may not always come from a medical cure or a solution to a problem that plagues us in the moment, but rather by finding peace and new life in the midst of it.  As both a chaplain and a counselor, I have the opportunity to journey with individuals, couples, families, staff and first responders during life’s most difficult challenges and heartaches.  What amazes me about the process of therapy is the abundant opportunities for transformation and healing that take place along the way for those who are open and seek it.

As a therapist, I use an integrative approach in order to meet the needs and pace of each client.  I have worked extensively with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, life transition, end of life and new medical diagnosis issues. I am passionate about journeying with you as we explore and discover your path to well-being.  This path is unique to each person and I am dedicated to finding helpful tools and strategies from cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness, problem-solving skills, internal family systems, and psycho-education in a psycho-dynamic/relational framework.

I also enjoy facilitating grief groups, and various presentations on integrating spirituality and health.

I am currently working under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Francis, OP.  I see clients at the Central DuPage Counseling Center in Carol Stream and in LaGrange, Illinois. *
