Rihab Mousa Yako, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social WorkerA little about me. . .
You may find yourself overwhelmed by anxiety or sadness that doesn’t seem to go away—like you are constantly “on” but unable to find rest. Perhaps you are navigating the complexities of identity, faith, or cultural expectations and feel that no one truly understands the weight you carry. Maybe OCD is interfering with your relationships, or postpartum changes have left you feeling distant from who you once were. You might be seeking peace after trauma or holding space for grief that others don’t always see.
As a bilingual therapist fluent in English , Arabic, Chaldean, and Assyrian, I understand the unique challenges faced by individuals from both collective and individualist cultures. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where individuals, couples, families, and groups can explore life’s challenges and find healing. My work is trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically responsive, and grounded in empathy and respect.
I draw from a variety of approaches to meet your unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Integrative Narrative Therapy (INT), and mindfulness-based techniques. When appropriate, I also incorporate faith-based practices to support healing that aligns with your spiritual values.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, postpartum transitions, grief and loss, faith-related concerns, gender identity exploration, anger management, and cultural/ethnic identity issues. Together, we’ll move beyond the surface of symptoms to explore the deeper stories that shape your experiences—so you can move forward with clarity, connection, and resilience.
